ORGANISATIONS

A thriving workforce is at the cornerstone of every successful organisation. To enable and facilitate this a dynamic, robust and strategic well-being offering for employees, to cultivate a culture of health, productivity and fulfilmentwithin you is required. With a background in organisational psychology, I have a wide variety of experience working to support employee well-being, at organisations of various shapes and sizes. From the development, implementation, and delivery of the employee well-being offering at Warner Music, to building out a talent development programme at the BBC, all the way through to conducting and overseeing a research and development programme with Movember, I believe in delivering a bespoke, tailor-made approach to each organisation’s individual needs, to deliver on their unique needs and requirements.

To facilitate this, I provide organisation support in the following ways…

WELL-BEING CONSULTANT

Navigating the world of well-being can be a complex and challenging task. Especially when factoring in the other roles and responsibilities that fall onto the shoulders of the individual/s tasked with delivering a well-being programme for employees. Within the organisational hierarchy, at each rung of the corporate ladder, a unique set of needs and challenges arises. EAP’s often over-promise and under-deliver, with a one-size fits all and hands off approach leaving employees disgruntled.

As a corporate well-being consultant, I work with the HR department and leadership team to understand the unique set of challenges facing the organisation, alongside conducting a 360-degree feedback review with employees gaining a better understanding of both the strengths and areas of development to support and improve employee well-being. Working with the outcomes to provide a tailor-made well-being programme that can then be rolled out and delivered across the organisation, through a continuous feedback loop and reviewing the data insights on a regular basis, the on-going well-being support can be monitored, and adjusted to meet the evolving needs of the employees, as well as meeting the organisations KPI’s, from improved employee well-being through to a reduction in employee turnover.

ENGAGING WORKSHOPS

Alongside working as a wellness consultant, I deliver a wide variety of workshops both to organisations and trade bodies, that can be formatted as power hours, lunch and learns or as a team building opportunity. The workshops cover both a broad range of recurring themes that come up within a corporate workspace, and can also be created with you as bespoke workshops to meet the unique needs of an organisation or team. Below are a list and brief description of the four most popular workshops that I deliver. To discuss booking in a workshop for your organisation, use one of the enquire buttons below.

  • NAVIGATING CONFLICT

Conflict is a common challenge for people in both their professional and personal lives, but many find conflict difficult to navigate. In this workshop, attendees will gain insight into conflict and how their surroundings and culture shape their perspective on it. Attendees will learn how to identify the four principal causes of conflict escalation, acquiring the skills to deescalate the conflict for a healthy resolution. Participants will learn to distinguish perpetual and situational problems and resolve conflicts in both.

  • OVERCOMING IMPOSTER SYNDROME

    OVERCOMING IMPOSTER SYNDROME

Roughly 70% of individuals experience imposter syndrome at some point in their lives, with that percentage only increasing in the digital age. In this session, we explore the five fundamental ways imposter syndrome shows up, understand their causes, and examine the resulting values, beliefs, and behaviours. Participants will then explore a variety of solutions that can be implemented in their daily lives, helping them to work through and eventually overcome their imposter syndrome.

  • GETTING TO GRIPS WITH PERFORMANCE ANXIETY

From speaking in a meeting to standing in front of an audience giving a speech, performance anxiety can arise in several ways. Fear and overwhelm can manifest, resulting in a flight to safety, analysis paralysis and a range of other negative responses, adversely affecting an individual. In this session, attendees will learn about the causes of performance anxiety and the M&M Technique used to combat it. Participants will explore each of the 6 M's in the M&M Technique to reduce anxiety levels and boost confidence, enabling a better performance within the setting/s their performance anxiety arises.

  • BECOMING AN EFFECTIVE DECISION MAKER

    BECOMING AN EFFECTIVE DECISION MAKER

On average, a human makes roughly 35,000 decisions each day, and whilst many of those decisions are small, everyday decisions, some decisions can completely alter the trajectory of a campaign, career, business, or your life. For those bigger decisions, whether in an individual or group setting, coming to an informed conclusion isn’t always easy. Decision-making strategies, like a SWAT analysis, don’t always cut the mustard. In this session, we introduce a simple yet effective decision-making tool; the six-hat approach, helping individuals and teams to reach informed decisions more efficiently, creating more effective decision makers.

TALKS AND IN CONVERSATION WITH’S

As part of my remit to help support the mental health and well-being of individuals and organisations, each year I deliver a number of talks and in conversation with Jack Williamson, be that as a keynote speaker at conferences, at organisation away days or wellness weeks, or to academic organisations to support the future generations of leaders and creatives. From topics tied into awareness days, including Suicide Awareness Day, Mental Health Awareness Week, and Men’s Health, to discussions around themes in my books The Shitty Committee and Maybe You’re The Problem, I work with organisations, conferences and academic institutions to deliver on their objectives for the talk or conversation piece.

Some of the key areas I focus on include:

• Finding Purpose and Meaning Through Loss

• Eradicating The Stigma Around Men’s Mental Health

• Navigating The Journey Of The Road Less Travelled

• Dealing With The Shitty Committee

• Knowing When You’re The Problem
