THE SHITTY COMMITTEE
First and foremost, thank you for taking the time today to find out more about who I am, how I work, and to see if I am the right therapist for you. Taking the first step towards starting or resuming therapy can often be the hardest step, and I hope what I share here will help you decide on a pathway forward to work through what brings you to therapy.
I am a compassionate and dedicated individual, group, and couple’s psychotherapist, specialising in working with people who are struggling with anxiety and depression, processing grief and trauma, suffering with burnout or imposter syndrome, and navigating conflict and life’s various challenges. I believe in the power of co-creating a supportive and authentic therapeutic space that is free from judgment, to enable you to explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences freely.
Interweaving both compassion and humour to navigate the highs and lows that occur throughout the therapeutic process, I will sit alongside you as you process the issues that bring you to therapy, yo challenge and confront values, beliefs, and behaviours that no longer serve you, and to equip you with the tools and techniques to do so.

I view the therapeutic process in two different and often overlapping phases. First, we need to become archaeologists. To excavate the past, allowing us to understand what has shaped you. The impact your upbringing and the environment played in creating your values and beliefs, and the adaptive behaviours that you formed to get your needs met.
From here, we turn into architects. To build a better future, by first evaluating which values, beliefs and behaviours have become maladaptive. Understanding why those values, beliefs and behaviours no longer serve but hinder you, and to create new values, beliefs, behaviours and patterns of relating using a variety of tools and techniques to build a more fulfilling life for yourself.
I am trained to work in a variety of modalities. I am an EMDR accredited therapist. An integrative psychotherapist combining both psychodynamic and humanistic modalities. A gestalt group therapist, and a Gottman Institute couples’ therapist. I will work with your agenda and adjust my approach to cater to your individual needs. My practice has me working with clients from a variety of different backgrounds. From public figures, ultra-high-net-worth individuals, CEOs, artists and sporting professionals, through to students and individuals from the LGBTQIIA+ community.
